Age Related Hearing Loss service
Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire patients can be referred down two main pathways:
- Any Qualified Provider (AQP) - routine referrals for age related hearing loss / self referral option
- Secondary Care - more complex referrals
Accessing the service
All GP referrals for routine hearing assessment should be directed to any qualified Provider (AQP) using the referral form available from Ardens.
Routine patients who wish to self refer should be directed to the self referral form (see link below) and contact the Provider of their choice using the details provided within the form.
Patients should be advised to self manage wax for a minimum of 2 weeks ahead of their hearing assessment. Please provide patients with the patient information leaflet on wax management (see below).
